Keep the maintainable asset classes from an IFC model, check every tag against the owner's rule, find duplicates and assets outside spaces, and check the required properties, then export the register.
Open an IFC model and choose which classes are maintainable assets (plant, equipment and safety devices are suggested). Tags are read from the IFC Tag attribute or a property and checked against your rule (for example {BLDG}-{TYPE}-{LEVEL}-{NNN}) and asset type codes; duplicates and assets not in a space are flagged; required properties are checked, with placeholders such as n/a or TBC counted as missing. The model never leaves your computer.
